PARKER-KAUFMAN, REALTORS, serving our area since 1926, has managed vacation rental property on Jekyll Island since 1963. Property management(both vacation rentals and annual leases) along with real estate sales are a major portion of our business. Our parker-kaufman.com web site is designed to help you in selecting a vacation cottage that will best suit your needs. On our website you will find multiple photos of each cottage together with a brief description, cottage amenities, rental rates and availability.

All vacation cottages (single family, multi-family and condos) managed by Parker-Kaufman are privately owned and vary from modest to quite plush. Rental rates are based on location, general condition, size, number that the cottage accommodates, and the amenities the cottage offers. We ask that you treat these properties with the care you would your own home so that they will be available for the enjoyment of yourself and others for years to come.

Rental Rates

Our rental rates are based upon a seven (7) day stay. The rental week runs from Saturday to Saturday – during June and July. During other times, other beginning and ending days may be possible. We will open up our June and July availability for shorter stays a month ahead. Monthly rates are available.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SHORTER STAYS:

  1. Shorter Stays (a minimum of 3 days) may be available and can be reserved within (10) days of your arrival. Booking shorter stays farther out may be possible during May and Fall Off-Season periods. – Please contact us for details. 888-453-5955 or 912-635-2512.

HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION
Reservations can be made online or by calling Toll-Free 888-453-5955 or 912-635-2512. Please select 3 or 4 cottages when calling for a reservation in the event your first choice is not available. Our staff is very knowledgeable and will be happy to provide you with available dates and answer any questions you may have about our cottages and the Island itself.

To reserve on line, select the time frame you are interested in and check the amenities you are seeking and search availability. If you know the cottage name you are interested in, you can search by that cottage name.

While you are here on Jekyll, it may be possible for you to view other properties if they are available.

CHECK-IN
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m.
Please do not arrive before then, unless other arrangements have been made.PLEASE DO NOT go to the cottage you have rented prior to checking in at our office. That may interfere with the cleaning crew. You are responsible for any damage to the property during your stay so please let us know immediately if you detect a problem. Do not wait until check-out to let us know. You will have a set of House Rules and a Guest Survey in your cottage. Please review the rules and fill out the survey before leaving. We appreciate the feedback from our tenants. Let us know in advance if you are going to be a late arrival.

CHECK-OUT
Check-out is 10:00 a.m. We ask that you make every effort to meet your check-out time. This will allow us to get ready for the next tenants. We also ask that you sweep, clean the stove and refrigerator, empty the trash, turn off all lights and lock doors and windows. Please remember to return the Guest Survey.

KEY RETURN POLICY
PLEASE RETURN ALL KEYS to our Parker-Kaufman Office on check-out. A $5.00 fee will be charged for each cottage or villa key not returned. We have a key drop box for your convenience at each door of our office.

DEPOSITS
To secure your rental, we MUST receive payment for 50% of the base rental rate at the time of booking your reservation. You may pay by credit card when booking directly on line or by phone reservation. Paperwork WILL NOT be mailed until we receive your deposit. At that time, your reservation will be confirmed and a confirmation will be emailed or sent by US Mail.

The balance of the rent, services, taxes and a reservation processing fee are due 14 days prior to your arrival. Prepayment will facilitate your check-in.

METHOD OF PAYMENT
We can accept payment by cash, personal check, traveler checks, VISA, MasterCard, AMEX or Discover. Personal checks will only be accepted at check-in with a valid photo ID (i.e. Driver’s License, Military or Government ID).

TAXES
Georgia 6% sales tax applies to cottage and linen rentals. A 5% Hotel/Motel tax is charged on the first 30 days of your stay. (All tax rates are subject to change).

COTTAGE CLEANING FEE
A cleaning fee has been added to your cottage confirmation. No housekeeping is provide during your stay, so all units are furnished with a vacuum, broom and mop. We ask that you leave the property broom clean, refrigerator empty, dishes run in the dishwasher, garbage placed in outside garbage (green top) containers, recycling only placed in recycling (yellow top) containers. Unusual extra cleaning, if necessary, will incur an additional charge.

RENTAL DAMAGE PROTECTION
Accidental property damage is always a possibility (as it is in your own home – such as a broken lamp or vase). For “peace of mind” during your stay with us, a $44.95 Damage Protection Fee is included in your rental through CSA Insurance, covering up to $3,000 in potential damages to your vacation rental during your stay. Travel Insurance is also offered through our booking process. For details contact CSA (866-999-4018). We appreciate and encourage our guests to report any incurred damages to us timely, so that we may file the claim necessary for the owner’s replacement or repair.

RESERVATION PROCESSING FEE
A Reservation Processing Fee of $20.00 is charged on each reservation.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Effective January 18, 2024: ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING and can be sent via US mail or Email. It is the renter’s responsibility to check with our office to ensure we have received your notice to cancel a reservation. All cancellations entitled to a refund will be charged a $50 cancellation fee. Bookings cancelled 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a refund of the amount on deposit less the cancellation service fee. Bookings cancelled 29 – 0 days before the arrival date are not eligible for a refund. Refunds will be issued in the form of a check to the mailing address on the reservation. The $20 reservation processing fee is nonrefundable. Since all properties are individually owned, requesting a change from one cottage to another is considered the same as a cancellation.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
You may wish to protect your vacation investment. Vacation “Trip Interruption Insurance Coverage” is available online from CSA Insurance (866-999-4018) or possibly your local insurance agent.

PET POLICY
Pets are NOT PERMITTED at any time in cottages where so designated in the property description in the brochure or on our website.

In cottages where pets are permitted a $150.00 Non-Refundable Pet Fee is due upon arrival unless otherwise noted. Please see the individual pet friendly cottage description for more information.

This policy is strictly enforced and tenants in violation will be asked to vacate the premises with no refund.
