Ocean Cottage 52 Just a N-Ocean is a 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath two story townhome style beach cottage located in The Cottages at Jekyll Island, Jekyll's premier oceanfront vacation spot. Open concept floor plan with open kitchen, dining, and living. Master Suite is located off the main lining area on the first floor. Stainless appliances, granite counters, custom cabinetry, 10-foot ceilings, large window walls, and hardwood floors are some of the interior finishes. The living room and master bedroom open to a large screened porch with outdoor dining for 6 and an oceanfront paver patio with a grill. A half bath and stacked laundry are also located on the first floor. 2 bedrooms each with a private bath on the second floor open to a large upper balcony with seating for 6 overlooking the Atlantic. 2 adult bikes, 4 folding canvas beach chairs, and beach toys are included for your enjoyment. Access to The Cottages at Jekyll Island million-dollar amenities include an oceanfront swimming pool fitness room, fire pit, beach deck, beach access and clubhouse.

BEACH ACCESS AT THE COTTAGES
Overview: The Cottages beach is about 2,000 feet long, featuring a dune area and seawall.
Access Points: There are three dune crossovers to the sandy area, always accessible for recreation. Main access is near the pool and clubhouse.
Tide Information: At high tide, water reaches the seawall, changing every six hours. Check a tide chart to plan your beach time.
Nearby Facilities: Oceanview Beach Park, about 2 miles south past the Holiday Inn, offers all-day ocean access. Explore all Jekyll Island beaches on their website.
Important Note: Storms may affect beach crossover access, and we cannot guarantee beach access at all times.

"Perfect rental for our family of five’s mini vacation. The balcony with the ocean view and breeze were absolutely perfect for my husband and I to unwind after all the activities of the day. Was a short walk to the beach and the pool and had plenty of other families for our kids to play with. Everything was clean and nicely kept. We can’t wait to go back!

Restful and Relaxing Stay

"This was our second time staying in these cottages, and this one is well appointed, very clean, and met the needs of our family of three. We particularly enjoyed the living room couch, which was roomy and quite comfortable. And the living and dining areas were comfortable. Our favorite spot was the upstairs porch, where we watched several lightning storms pass over the ocean in the late afternoons/early evenings. We even saw rainbows on consecutive days at 8:23 PM as a cruise ship passed by both times. The large walk-in showers in two of the three full bathrooms were also very nice. The large pool is a short walk from the unit, even with floats, a bag and a cooler in hand. There were plenty of friendly families at the pool with kids of all ages. We spent most of our time there. The beach was easily accessible via the boardwalk, and although this is not a beach where you can set up for an all-day stay due to the high tide, we researched the tide times and were able to spend plenty of time on the beach when the tide was low. There were numerous sand dollars to find, however many of them were still alive and we let them be. That is an important thing to teach young children because there were so many to find. The owners have plenty of beach items in the closet on the downstairs screened porch and there were two bikes, but we did not try those. The master bed was only fairly comfortable, as there was some instability in the frame and the mattress was not as firm as we prefer. On another note, which has nothing to with the unit itself, but is important information for those unfamiliar with Jekyll Island. We all came away with many bites, especially on our legs, so be sure to bring the appropriate sprays/bug protection. It's a small price to pay for such a lovely place. The unit is within a 30-minute walk to Driftwood Beach, which is a must-see, especially in the mornings with that bug protection. It is also not a far drive from public beaches for those that want all-day beach access and other shopping and restaurants options. We went to Tortuga Jacks, The Wharf, and Zachary's (do get the Key Lime Pie), and liked them all. I highly recommend this rental unit for small families that just want to kick back, relax, and listen to the waves.

"This location was perfect for our family. Everyone has a lovely view of the ocean from their bedrooms. The home was decorated beautifully and equipped with everything we needed. They had games and other entertainment. The notebook was a great resource for information. The only thing I would like would be a lock on the screened back porch. Other than that, this place is absolutely perfect. We will attempt to reserve this location again for a longer period.

"My online friends and I met at this location as our halfway point between us. This house was absolutely beautiful and impossible to top. We were close to everything, it was very quiet and everything looked brand new. We cooked in most days and either sat at the table or screened in deck to enjoy those meals. We caught many sunrises on the top deck and enjoyed swimming in the ocean once tide went out. We loved our time there and hope to come back again next year!
