Vacation Cottage Rental Information

Since 1972 Parker-Kaufman, Realtors & Insurance has managed vacation rental property on St. Simons Island. Our web site is designed to help you in selecting a vacation cottage
that will best suit your needs.

All vacation cottages managed by Parker-Kaufman are privately owned and may vary from modest to quite plush. Rental rates are based on location, general condition, size, number of tenants that the cottage accommodates, and the amenities the cottage offers. We ask that you treat these properties with the care you would your own home so they will be available for the enjoyment of yourself and others for years to come.

All of our accommodations are NON SMOKING

RENTAL SEASONS
OFF-SEASON RATES apply - November - February

FALL/SPRING-SEASON RATES apply - September - October
and March, April and May

SEASON RATES apply June, July and August

RENTAL RATES
These rental rates are based upon a seven (7) day minimum stay. Our rental week runs from Saturday to Saturday during peak seasons. During the Off-Season, other beginning and ending days may be possible. Shorter stays may be available to be reserved within (10) days of your arrival. Please contact us for details.

Check-in time is after 4:00 p.m. on your arrival date
Check-Out time is no later than 10:00 a.m. on your departure date.

RENTAL RATES, FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT ARE
SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.


DEPOSITS
We will take your reservation by telephone provided either you put the deposit amount on a Visa or MasterCard or we receive a deposit of 50% of the total rental within seven(7) days of your making your reservation.. You may send a personal check or traveler's check

The balance of the rent plus tax is due upon your arrival.

Late arrivals must pre-pay the rental balance in full prior to arrival date
in order to gain access to the property.


A Security Deposit is required on all rentals regardless of duration. The deposit will be held after the premises are vacated, and will be used to cover the costs of damages to the property including, but not limited to: damaged, lost or stolen items, un-disclosed pets, relocation of furniture, more than the specified # of occupants, and telephone charges.

METHOD OF PAYMENT
We can accept payment by cash, personal check, traveler checks, and Mastercard/VISA
which are accepted unless otherwise noted.

TAXES
Georgia 6% sales tax applies to cottage and linen rentals. A 5% Hotel/Motel tax is charged on the first 10 days of your stay. (These tax rates are subject to change)

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of cancellation, we will make every effort to re-rent the cottage for that time period, however, the deposit, less a $50.00 service charge, will be refunded only when the cottage has been re-rented.

Cancellations of less than 7 days notice will result in forfeiture of deposit.

AFTER HOURS LOCK-OUT

There is a $50.00 charge for providing another key after hours.

PET POLICY
Most of our accommodations do not accept pets.

PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN OR ON THE PREMISES OF OUR RENTALS EXCEPT WHERE NOTED AND THEN ONLY BY SPECIAL PRIOR ARRANGEMENT. Boarding is available.

This policy is strictly enforced and violators will be asked to vacate with no refund.

For our accommodations that are pet friendly, there is an additional pet charge (non-refundable) of $50 over and above a pet damage deposit of $150.


COTTAGE GENERAL INFORMATION

FURNISHINGS
All cottages are equipped with ranges, refrigerators, cookware, silverware, and dishes. Each is furnished, equipped and maintained according to the owner's preference. All Cottages are housekeeping cottages, with vacuum, broom and mop provided. Bedding includes mattress pads, pillows and bedspreads (and blankets in wintertime), however, not linens.

Paper products (toilet tissue, paper towels, etc.), as well as soaps and detergents are not furnished with the rentals.

EQUIPMENT & APPLIANCES
All of the rental cottages offer the following: air conditioning, heat, telephone, television, and cable TV service (some have HBO service, where noted). Parker-Kaufman, as rental agents, cannot guarantee the operation of the air conditioning, or other appliances: however, we will do our very best to have any malfunction repaired as soon as possible.

TELEPHONES
There is no charge for local telephone calls. Long distance or collect calls should not be charged to the cottage telephones. Long distance charges must be paid for by credit card at the time they are placed. Any calls charged against the cottage telephone will be billed along with a $5.00 handling charge.


NO NO'S
Furniture moved from one area of the cottage to another will result in additional charges.
Do not remove any furnishings from the cottage (furniture, cookware, etc.)
No campers or recreational vehicles are allowed on the premises.
DO NOT PARK ON THE LAWNS.

 

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT

Check-In time is after 4:00 p.m. on your arrival date.

Check-Out time is no later than 10:00 a.m. on your
departure date.
